Jeremy Kyle’s much-loved security guard, Big Steve, has found himself a new job on Ru Paul’s Drag Race.

The muscle man reportedly lost his job when The Jeremy Kyle Show was axed in 2019.

At the time, fans took to social media, to voice their concerns.

One wrote: “Anyone know of any jobs going for Big Steve.”

While another said: “Can’t believe @itvjeremykyle has been cancelled. What will Big Steve do now?”

Another commented: “Please can ITV ensure finding a suitable replacement job role for Big Steve is an urgent priority.”

However, a TV insider told the Star that Steve has since been providing security on the set of Ru Paul’s Drag Race.

The told the paper: “Steve has been on hand to help make sure filming is going smoothly and everyone is super safe.

“He’s the best in the business and has had plenty of work since leaving Jeremy Kyle.”

The Jeremy Kyle Show was taken off air after 14 years following the death of one of its guests.

Lie detector tests were a regular fixture for the show, which had been a staple on our screens for more than a decade.

But when it was pulled an investigation was launched into whether enough support is given to guests of the show both before and after filming.

A statement from ITV at the time said: “Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show.

“The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.

“Everyone at ITV's thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Steve Dymond. The previously announced review of the episode of the show is under way and will continue.

“ITV will continue to work with Jeremy Kyle on other projects.”

Following the axe, Big Steve went on to work with Judge Rinder and was regularly spotted out with the star.

However, it’s reported that he still remained close with both Kyle and Graham Stanier, who was the counsellor on the show.

Kyle went on to launch a new show on TalkTV after smashing records on TalkRadio for his Drive Time show.
