From time-to-time, we all enjoy a good meal out for some fine dining with a certain degree of service that makes the experience all the more enjoyable.
It would be fair to say that not many of us would appreciate our serving staff berating us with abuse and expletives, however.

But one place which prides itself on rude staff is Karen’s Diner, which has developed a deliberate reputation across the globe for providing exceptionally bad service.
The dishes listed on the menu also equate to the theme of terrible service, and include the I want to the see the manager Karen and the cheesed off Karen breakfast burgers.
There are restaurants in the far-flung locations of Auckland, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, along with ones much closer to home in Sheffield, Manchester and, more recently, Birmingham.
The restaurant opened its Birmingham branch on Friday (2 September), and is located in the city's Grand Central shopping centre.
BirminghamLive reports that the restaurant was due to be open from Wednesday through to Sunday, but a surge in popularity means it will now be open on Tuesdays too.
Twitter user @imjustbrum went to Birmingham recently to showcase a customer’s experience at the new branch of the franchise, and it’s not one for the faint-hearted.
Upon entering the restaurant, a waiter imitated the customer, put a phone in his face and said: “We can do it too d**khead, you ain't f**king special!”
Arguably, the most shocking form of ‘playful’ abuse occurs when a waiter hands a customer a note which reads: "The best part of you was wiped by a c*m rag.”
Not exactly what you want to hear when sitting across from your parents...
However, having a core unique selling point of providing exceptionally bad service can be a tad risky as a Karen’s franchise in Brisbane landed itself in hot water recently after a waiter called one customer a ‘paedo.’
Stacey Howard was dining with his family during the supposed 'child-friendly' hour before 5pm, but that didn't stop the waiter calling his daughter an 'OnlyFans tart'.
He told the Courier Mail: "My daughter was doing a Facebook live and this young guy came up and said ‘Are you on OnlyFans you tart? – Here’s some content for you’ and he pretended to w**k himself off and j**z on the table,” he said.
Following the comment, Stacey recalled that his daughter’s jaw ‘hit the floor’.
However, things only got worse from that point onwards.
He added: “My daughter sat on my lap because she was concerned and he said ‘What are you a paedo?’, ‘Are you all having sex with each other?’”
So, if you’re looking to take the in-laws out for a meal, best not to go to Karen’s!
