New Pop-Up Restaurant Promises Rude Staff And Poor Service

The idea is to poke fun at the slang term 'Karen', which often refers to an entitled middle-class woman complaining about something.

Their website reads: "Karen's is an interactive diner and an absurdly fun experience.

"At Karen's you will be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen.

"A place where you can complain until the cows come home because we literally don't care.

"Our staff are rude, our manners are non-existent and we're the perfect place for Karen's everywhere to vent their anger and dismay at the world.

"Come on, ask for the manager... WE DARE YOU."

If you happen to be called Karen yourself, you can also expect some freebies.

The website continues: "If your name is actually Karen we will give you some free drinks - bring some ID."

Speaking about the idea behind the restaurant, he told the programme: "How about we let the public not worry about their etiquette for a second and let out some pent-up rage and the staff here are happy to take it.

"We want you to really become the Karen you were meant to be."

As well as offering customers the opportunity to let out their anger at the staff, Karen's is also serving up a selection of burgers, chicken wings, ice cream, waffles and cocktails.

Their burgers - which include vegetarian and vegan options - have creative names such as 'Karen's Got Real Beef', 'The Fiery Karen' and 'The "I Wants To See Your Manager" Karen'.

You can also treat yourself to shooters with names such as 'The Music Is Too Loud', 'I've Been Waiting 10 Minutes For Some Service' and 'You've Just Lost My Business'.
