Iconic rapper and weed connoisseur Snoop Dogg has given his full-time blunt roller a pay rise to keep up with inflation.

That’s a grade-A employer right there.

Snoop D.O. Double G hired a full-time blunt roller back in 2019, in perhaps the most intelligent investment of his career - ensuring he constantly had perfectly rolled blunts on hand.

Speaking on The Howard Stern Show at the time, Snoop said: "Timing. That motherf***er's timing is impeccable. That's his J-O-B, his occupation. On his resumé, it says, 'What do you do?' 'I'm a blunt roller. P-B-R, professional blunt roller'.

The weed enthusiast also confirmed his PBR's salary and benefits, saying: "That's somewhere between $40,000 ($AUD 55,000, £31,000) and $50,000 ($AUD 69,000, £39,900) a year. Free weed – all paid expenses. Everything I get, he gets. I go get some free clothes, I give him some."

Times have been tough since 2019. With rising gas prices and the cost-of-living soaring through the roof, free weed can only do so much.

So Snoop, a man of the people, ensured his most valued employee received a pay rise.

Responding to an UberFacts tweet that made note of the outlandish fact, the rapper replied: “Inflation. Their salary went up!!”

Probably a good thing he did receive a raise, as some fellow weed enthusiasts were potentially shopping around.

Snoop’s weed-smoking buddy, Seth Rogen appeared on The Howard Stern Show alongside the rapper and seemed to be in awe of his PBR.

He said: “There's been like 40 minutes where I'm like, 'I'm just watching this guy and I'm just going to see what is going on here'. As someone who smokes a lot of weed, it's f**king fascinating."

Rogen, who described Snoop as 'genius', added: "Honestly, the amount of time I spend rolling joints, it might be worth my while financially to hire someone to do that."

Rogen wouldn’t be without potential suitors, with many on Twitter replying to Snoop’s tweet showing off their rolling skills and begging for a job.

One Twitter user said: “So the salary is also high?”

Another said: “You need an extra person?”

Blunt rolling for celebrities isn’t a new thing either, and could potentially turn into an industry at this rate.

In 2014, it was reported that Waka Flocka Flame hired a blunt roller for $50,000. The job listing attracted more than 60,000 applicants, with Seth Rogen even filling the role for a short time.

Kid Cudi and G Herbo have also advertised for blunt rollers in the past.
