When you apply for a new job, there's always a certain level of anxiety, and all you can hope is that they let you down easily if you aren't successful. Unfortunately, one lad wasn't afforded that kindness. Watch what happened to him below:

Alexander Wood, from Whitesboro, US, had long wanted to work for a coffee company, and had applied a number of times for a role, but circumstances had prevented him from going any further.

And on his third attempt, he revealed that he was accidentally CC'd into the email chain by the company, explaining why he wouldn't be getting the job.

In a video posted to his TikTok account, Alexander said he was driving when he got an email to his phone from the coffee firm.

But rather than it being a 'hey you got the job' kind of email or 'we would love for you to come in for a chat', it was a hard 'no'.

According to Alexander, the recruiter for the company said he had ignored their last attempt at sorting a time and date for him to come in for an interview, so they were not going to progress his application.

The email from the company read: "I tried to interview this guy before and he never showed [for] it."

To which another employee replied: "Well that's interesting. OK, so let's reject him."

Ouch. Which is exactly what Alexander replied in his first email.

Explaining what happened in a post to his Facebook account, Alexander said: "I would never no-call no-show an interview, especially at that point in my life.

"Of course, I reacted and responded to the email with proof that an interview was never set. This was a trigger for me.

"The carelessness of the company to include me in this email thread, the fault being placed on me when I can confidently say that I take no responsibility, or the fact that the chat went silent after I responded.

"I am absolutely astonished at the carelessness in this situation. "

He says the company thought he'd ignored their email about interviewing for a previous application.

He went on: "Needless to say, I will not get a job there and will most likely never step foot in the establishment again. I'm confident in my skills and I hold enough pride not to put up with this kind of absolute garbage.

"These are the things you don’t do with your business."

In the video to his TikTok, Alexander said the company had not replied to his emails and that others were shocked when he told them what happened to him.

He said: "The company has [gone] silent. People in my area are so familiar with the owner that I keep getting DMs from people who are like, 'The owner is so nice'.

"I don't care. I'm a good worker. I have trained under nationally certified baristas, and I'm not going to be f**king putting up with this s**t."
