People on the internet have been left shocked, appalled and horrified at how time works.

Many believe that relics of meme and GIF history stay unchanged and frozen forever.

However, the human subjects of these internet hall of famers definitely grow up and that cannot be truer than in Mia Talerico's case.

The actor has posted a photo to her one million followers revealing she has finally started high school.

She stood outside with a small blackboard that revealed she kicked off her ninth grade studies this week.

While you might not recognise Mia's name, you would definitely be familiar with a certain scene she shot when she was just a toddler.

She portrayed Charlie Duncan on the show Good Luck Charlie, which ran on the Disney Channel from 2010 to 2014.

The moment you might know her from is when she puts up her hands while wearing a pink jacket.

You might not have even seen Good Luck Charlie but the scene has been immortalised in GIF form and is regularly used by loads of people all around the world every day.

While it's awesome that Mia has started high school, many people on the internet immediately felt old.

One person wrote: "I’m getting old man there’s no way."

Another added: "Damn we are getting old. I remember watching you on tv when you was just a toddler

A third said: "This lowkey just told me how old I am."

But this happens pretty much any time a celebrity grows up and starts doing regular adult things and it reminds us of how much time has passed.

People couldn't believe their eyes when they saw Sophia Grace and Rosie perform Nicki Minaj's 'Super Bass' on Ellen DeGeneres' final show.

They were just girls when they went viral around the world for their rendition of the hit track while dressed in pink.

The dynamic duo grew up and were invited on the talkshow host's finale to give fans an update at what they were doing with their lives.

And, of course, belt out 'Super Bass' one more time.

Sophia Grace told Ellen that one of the highlights of her 15 minutes of fame was meeting Drake.

"Me and my dad have always been big fans [of Drake]," she said.

"I saw him just casually coming down the Grammys carpet when we was there, and I was like, ‘Drake, my dad loves you so much.’ And we had a chat with him. He ate some of our candy.”

Rosie said it was pretty ace getting to meet Justin Bieber, who was arguably the biggest name of them all at that time.

"When he kissed me on the cheek at the Kids' Choice Awards. Obviously at that time I was like ‘Ew a boy, he’s kissing me on the cheek.’ And now I'm like, ‘Oh my god, I'd let Justin Bieber kiss me on the cheek again'," she said.

The pair also revealed that their musical prowess isn't contained to singing 'Super Bass' as they have released music separately in the hopes of launching their own careers.
