Tyson's representatives have now spoken out about the video, telling The Associated Press: “Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat.”

San Francisco police responded to the incident, issuing a statement that said: “Officers arrived and detained two subjects that were believed to be involved in the incident. One subject was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. That subject provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation."

Both Tyson and the other party were released pending further investigation.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office will be looking into the video and said: "We are not releasing information on the incident because it is an active investigation."

LADBible has reached out to airline JetBlue, who are yet to comment on the incident.

However, the footage isn't the first time Tyson made headlines this week.

In a conversation with Joe Rogan for the latest instalment of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, Tyson made some pretty strange claims.

With the boxer saying he ‘really believes’ that wealthy kidnap homeless people and hunt them down on their estates.

Yep, he actually said that.

The topic came up when Tyson said to Rogan: “Whatever you think a human did to another human being – it happened. "Whatever it is, it happened.”

Naturally, this includes rich people hunting the homeless.

"This is what happens: they take these homeless people off the streets. Put 'em in there, take them to one of those special hospitals.

“[Then], they take them from the hospital, all drugged up, take 'em to these large estates, property - "let's hunt" - Run!”

With Rogan going on to talk about Richard Connell’s short story, The Most Dangerous Game.

A story in which a game hunter comes to be hunter himself by by Russian oligarchs on a private island in the Caribbean.
