Imagine inviting Angelina Jolie to your party - but instead of bringing a gift, she dunks your face right into your birthday cake. Well, that's what happened to Salma Hayek - watch below:

To be fair, I think most of us would probably be ok with that.

Following her 55th birthday earlier this week, Salma shared a video on Instagram yesterday (4 September), in which she can be seen celebrating with some loved ones - including her pal Angelina.

The post was captioned: "My brother @hayekstudio and me trying to teach Angie how to do the mexican mordida."

Following a Mexican tradition, the video sees the group shouting 'Mordida, Mordida' - which translates as 'bite, bite'.

Basically, as you can see, the tradition involves planting the face of the birthday celebrant into a cake.

Angelina and Salma both look to be feeling pretty giddy, right before the Maleficent actress goes for the slam dunk - the basketball, of course, being Hayek's face, which goes straight into the birthday treat.

The video has already racked up almost four million views and has more than 700,000 likes.

One user commented: "this could have gone horribly wrong."

A second user added: "Laughs, friends, family, and cake??! What a celebration of life!!"

While a third wrote: "That's what I don't look forward to when it's my birthday, but love every second of it. They do take it out on everyone."

The two Hollywood stars are set to feature in Marvel's new studio film Eternals. Watch a trailer below:

Set to be released on 5 November, the movie is directed by Chloé Zhao, who won big at this year's Oscars, bagging both Best Director and Best Picture with her film Nomadland.

The trailer introduces us to the titular group of superhuman immortal beings, who have secretly lived on Earth for thousands of years observing humans.

A voiceover says: "We have watched, unguided we have helped them progress and seen them accomplish wonders. Throughout the years we have never interfered - until now."

The new roster of Marvel Cinematic Universe superheroes will do battle with their evil opponents, conveniently named the Deviants.

The film stars Richard Madden as leader Ikaris, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Angelina Jolie as Thena and Kumail Nanjiani portraying Samurai-trained Kingo.
