A man on Twitter has sparked debate after making the bold claim that every man wears a pair of underwear between three and 10 times before washing them.
Twitter user Sav (@9021hoee) got the conversation going yesterday, writing: "Let's be honest, no man wears a pair of underwear just ONE time before washing them.
"Every man wears each pair of underwear at least 3-10 times before washing them. Let's keep it a buck."
His post has since racked up more than 6,000 quote-tweets, and hundreds of likes, proving it's more of a universal topic than some of us realised.

In another tweet, posted the previous day, he also said: "Even women wear a pair of underwear multiple times before washing them. So I know men doing it too. Y'all love getting on twitter and acting like y'all just so high genial."
Some people admitted to following the same approach, although not everyone felt comfortable with the idea of reusing undies 10 times before throwing them into the washing machine.
One admitted: "I definitely do this," before confirming: "Now, while I'm with you, wearing undies 10x's is excessive but, 2/3 times, definitely."

Another person agreed: "Lol yea not gone lie usually get about 2 good uses outta mine before I toss to the dirty pile, but that's because they be genuinely still clean and smell fresh. If I can't smell my balls then they good for another day."
The vast majority of social media users, however, could not have been less on board with the idea.
One person commented: "I'll go a couple of weeks without washing my jeans if I haven't spilled on them, maybe a couple of days at most without brushing my teeth, but I have never purposely worn underwear two days in a row when I have clean at my disposal. All men are not this gross."

Another said: "My dude, what are you trying to do, turn your balls into a sourdough starter?"
A third added: "Nah you alone in this one dawg."
When one person asked how long it took for underwear to get 'dirty', they were met with the response: "You s*** multiple times a day. Fart God knows how many times. Pee trickles out after peeing. They are dirty after about 8 hours my dude."

Women got involved in the debate, too.
One said: "Oh no. No. No. Lord please no. That can't be right. But if it is, sir, thank you, because I am never having sex with a man ever again.
Equally outraged, another commented: "WTF?! My man wears his ONE time and throws them in the hamper before showering. I should know, since I do the laundry DAILY! If you're wearing yours more than once, you're downright nasty!"
I mean, it's a hard no from me...
