Furious Passenger Goes On Rampage After Missing Flight While Drinking In The Departure Lounge

Having a pre-flight bev is a ritual. In fact, for many it's almost just as important as getting through airport security or remembering to grab your passport as you leave the house.

This was especially true for this guy, who got so caught up in departure lounge drinks that he missed his flight from Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport - and he wasn't very happy about it.

Upon realising that he wasn't getting on his flight, this bloke went into rampage-mode.

The stressed tourist tried but failed to get through a locked door (which is usually the case) which was leading to the runaway.

So he decided to take his anger out on the departure gate desk, kicking out and breaking equipment, as shown by a CCTV camera.

Unsteady on his feet, at one point he fell to the floor when he kicked out at the rope barrier, tripping himself up.

A Russian report said: "He got angry and began to crash the desk and the equipment on it."

Other passengers look on at him before airport security were called and he was overpowered in spectacular fashion and hurled onto the floor.

A spokesperson said: "Due to the quick reaction of the airport security service, the intrusion was halted."

The unnamed man was hauled off to the airport police station to be charged with hooliganism.

He's not the only one. Earlier this month, seven British passengers were removed from a flight after a fight broke out with one woman allegedly being spat at.

According to witnesses, two groups of guys were forced off an easyJet flight from Manchester to Tenerife. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Portugal after the brawl started.

The fight is said to have kicked off about two hours into the flight, when a group of four who were sat at the back of the plane started throwing punches.

A female flight attendant was forced to step in to break the fight up, separating the group by moving one of the men to the front of the plane while they calmed down.

But it didn't quite go to plan, with the man bolting to the back of the plane where it kicked off all over again.

Other passengers stepped in to try and break the fight up, with one of the men apparently spitting in a woman's eye.
