A group of picnickers had a narrow escape when a driver forgot to apply the handbrake of his car, meaning it rolled downhill towards them.
The incident took place in Davlekan, Russia, where people had parked up in a grassy area to sunbathe and have a picnic - unaware that their blissful day was about to be ruined by a car hurtling down towards them.

According to witnesses, the driver had forgotten to apply the handbrake as he climbed out of the car.
In the clip, we see a man in the driver seat of a car, which has stopped at the top of a hill. After a short while, he steps one leg out of the vehicle, which is when it begins to roll backwards at an angle - at first moving slightly uphill as it travels horizontally across the dirt track, appearing to run over the man's legs.
It then begins to speeds downhill towards the small crowd, with people at the bottom of the hill heard in the footage shouting and whistling to try and warn others about what's happening.

The driver, meanwhile, manages to clamber up and tries running after the vehicle, but soon realises he can't keep up with it - while someone else at the top of the hill puts their hands on their head in horror.
Miraculously, as the car whizzes down the hill it manages to miss all of the people parked up at the bottom.
However, eventually it crashes into a stationary car, only just missing a family beside it as they jump out of the way.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

"[This caused] it to roll down the hill without a driver and crash into cars parked at the bottom."

Someone else wrote: "Hope everyone down below was okay. Looked like a lot of families with children."
