A woman has admitted she used to post videos posing with a fake mannequin head in a bid to make her ex jealous, saying: "High school me was hurting."
She wrote: "When I used to post pics/videos of me with a mannequin head to make my ex jealous."
Rachel then cut to a clip, which showed her lying in bed and kissing said mannequin, before turning to the camera to smile.
One follower replied to say: "It was almost okay and then you kissed it and looked into the camera."
Rachel responded to the comment, showing a photo that she'd also taken.
"I could have just stuck with this," she said.
"This is actually pretty believable - I put a snapback [hat] on her [the mannequin] and everything. But, um, yeah."
She continued: "All jokes aside though, a lot of people are asking why I had a mannequin head. I was in cosmetology school... So I had enough head to go around.
"Everything happens for a reason. I'm actually in a really good place right now in a really good relationship, and have found the love of my life. So everything happens for a reason and I'm thankful I only had to go through the humiliation for a short period of time in my life."
Rachel added: "Don't make the same mistake I did because there's someone out here waiting for you!"
In the caption to the second video, she also said she ended up telling her ex (who she confirmed was female) what she'd done 'years later'.
The original clip was also shared on Twitter, where it has since garnered hundreds of thousands of extra views.
One person wrote: "Would've taken this into three lifetime graves. My therapist wouldn't hear about it."
Another pointed out that you could see 'the cut off neck at the very end' of the video, while another said: "This would've stayed with me to the grave."
A third commented: "TikTok is a diff a** platform like ppl really be exposing their deepest darkest stuff on there and the comments are all 'omg I relate' hahaha."
A fourth added: "The second hand embarrassment from this thread. I can't take it!!!"
