Oktoberfest waiter hailed as having 'super strength' while carrying more than a dozen beers

Oktoberfest waiter hailed as having 'super strength' while carrying more than a dozen beers

People can't believe she's able to lift those glasses like they're nothing.

An Oktoberfest waiter has gone viral after a video went viral that showed her carrying more than a dozen beers.

Every year, millions of people flock to beer halls to celebrate the annual festival that originated in Munich, Germany.

They might throw on some lederhosen, eat a pretzel and go on the various carnival rides dotted around the many halls.

But, the main activity is beer drinking.

And when there are thousands of people all asking for litres of the amber ale, you can imagine what it's like at the bar.

Servers are tasked with carrying as many glasses as possible to ensure no one goes thirsty and one woman has made sure of that.

People couldn't believe how she was able to carry a whopping 13 steins at one time.

One said: "What in the actual Oktoberfest is this feat of super human strength!!!?"

Another added: "It’s astounding how much they’re lifting and balancing… I struggle bad enough with one."

A third wrote: "It’s astounding how much they’re lifting and balancing… I struggle bad enough with one."

She was pictured inside the Schützenfestzelt, which is one of the oldest festival tents at the Oktoberfest.

It's been around since 1876 and can host more than 6,000 people.

According to the official Oktoberfest website: "This makes it one of the smaller beer tents, but its footprint including the shooting range makes it the largest tent at the Oktoberfest."

However, if you thought that was impressive, wait until you see the world record holder.

Oliver Strümpfel, a Bavarian tax inspector, broke the record at the Gillamoos Fair in Abensberg, Germany back in 2018.

He managed to walk the course with an incredible 29 steins in his hands.

He actually started the record attempt with 31 but lost two along the way.

Stein carrying is a serious sport and competitors have to strut their stuff along the 40 metre course and ensure all the beers are still full.

Strümpfel's record meant he was carrying 147 pounds (66kgs) in his hands.

That's no mean feat, especially when you arms are at right angles and you have to move carefully enough to not spill anything.
