McDonald’s is adding five items to its menu next week - including the welcome return of a much-loved burger.

From 27 April the fast-food chain will be bringing back the beloved McSpicy, for a limited time only.

The fan-favourite was launched last summer and is now back due to popular demand.

The McSpicy features a spicy chicken breast fillet topped with crunchy cool lettuce and mayonnaise between toasted sesame seed buns - you can get your hands on one for £4.29 or make it a medium meal for £5.79.

And the McSpicy isn’t the only item being added to Maccies' menus next week - we’ll also see the return of the Grand Big Mac, which costs £4.79 or you can go for a medium meal for £6.29; the Grand Big Mac with Bacon, that’s priced at £5.29 individually or £6.69 for a medium meal; Cheesy Garlic Bites costing £1.99; and Flake Raspberry and Flake Chocolate McFlurry which cost £1.39 for a regular or just 99p for a mini.

But if you want to get your hands on any of the returning items, you’ll need to be fast as they’re limited and only available during a six-week window.

And if the return of the McSpicy proves to be as popular as the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac then you’ll want to make sure you don’t hang around - because just weeks after launching the burger back in February, McDonald’s announced it had sold out.

The Chicken Big Mac was introduced for a limited run until mid-March but hungry chicken fans were left disappointed after finding that just two weeks after it was launched they were struggling to get one at their local branch.

McDonald’s UK broke the disappointing news on Twitter, posting: “Well, that escalated quickly. Your love for the limited edition Chicken Big Mac knew no bounds and it’s sold out almost everywhere.”

So take that as a warning.

To make way for the new items, McDonald’s told The Sun it will be pulling five current items from its menu from 26 April.

So, you can say goodbye to the Big Tasty range - which includes the original, the bacon and the BBQ options; the Homestyle Crispy Chicken; Chilli Cheese Bites; the Cadbury Caramel McFlurry and the Creme Egg McFlurry.
