Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have made their social media debut as they paid tribute to their father, Prince William.

Released by Kensington Palace to mark Father's Day today (16 June), the sweet post featured an image taken by the Princess of Wales on a family trip to Norfolk last month alongside a message written by the young royals.

It comes just days after Kate Middleton issued royal fans an update on her health following her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

In a statement posted on social media on 14 June, the 42-year-old opened up about her ongoing cancer treatment ahead of her first public appearance at Trooping the Colour this weekend.

She wrote: "I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months.

"It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.

"I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting.

"But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well. My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months.

"On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home."

Thanking fans for their continued support, the Princess added that while she's 'not out of the woods' yet, she is 'learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty' and 'taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal'.

And today, the pair's children have made their social media debut to mark Father's Day.

Featuring a picture of the children with their father by the sea, the post reads: "We love you, Papa. Happy Father's Day," followed by two red hearts and signed off with the children's initials.

The post is the first time the children themselves have written a message for fans.

Yesterday (15 June), the family attended the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony, joining fellow senior members of the Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the annual RAF flyover.

It marked Kate's first public appearance since she announced her cancer diagnosis, with eagle-eyed fans spotting the 'touching gesture' King Charles made towards the Princess on the palace balcony.
