Neil DeGrasse Tyson had a strong response to moon landing deniers while speaking on the Impaulsive podcast.
It might well be hard to comprehend what people believe these days, but the flat Earth society still has members all around the world and misinformation is running rife on the internet, so perhaps we shouldn't be shocked that some folks think the moon landing was faked.
Buzz Aldrin had a more violent response to one non-believer as he punched a man in the face when he raised doubts about the Apollo 11 mission, whereas DeGrasse Tyson went for a different approach while appearing on the Impaulsive podcast.
While it might be fair to say that there's a certain irony about the scientist talking about intellectually and emotionally disconnected people while on a podcast with Logan Paul and Mike Majlak, he will hopefully help to educate some of their audience who might well be used to believing every theory they're fed online.

Tyson is a big name in the world of science and has previously broken down other scientific theories and studies, including the simulation theory which suggests that we could be living in a simulation, simply because we haven't currently come up with a way of simulating another world of our own - unless you count The Sims.

He also suggested that being sucked into a black hole is the way to go when it comes to dying, and the astrophysicist certainly knows his way around space, which is why he has very little time for people who continue to suggest that the 1969 moon landing, which saw Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walk on the surface, was completely fake.
During his podcast appearance, Paul said: 'You think we went to the moon?"
The 67-year-old replied: "I know we went to the moon. What do you mean 'I think'? To be in denial means you are intellectually and emotionally disconnected from civilisation."
Paul isn't convinced however, and claimed: "Don't you think that video looked a little silly though? Is that really how you would bounce around on the moon?"
While he continued to suggest other controversial things, which is of course the key to success on podcasts these days, Tyson continued to shut his theories down.
The American writer pointed out that NASA fixed their issues and also scrapped five Apollo missions before having their success period between 1969 and 1972.
He concluded: "The real issue here is that if you don't know physics, you think that getting to the moon was harder than it actually was."
Of course, NASA has some extraordinary technology available to it that means that space trips are now far more regular, while we also have the likes of the Mars Rover and the James Webb Space Telescope to help humanity explore areas far further away than the moon.
