Yesterday would not have been such a good Friday for Adam Johnson as he woke up in his new surroundings for the first time. Johnson was sentenced to six years in prison on Thursday after being found guilty of grooming and two acts of sexual activity with a child earlier this month.
The former Sunderland player had been picking up £60k-a-week in wages at the Stadium of Light right up until his trial started when he changed his plea for grooming and one of the acts of sexual activity to guilty.

The £1.5m mansion he bought in 2012 is a six bedroom property with a library, gym and three car garage, The Mirror reported.
