Anthony Joshua is in a 'stable condition' after a car crash in Nigeria killed two of his friends.
The British boxer, 36, was pulled from the wreckage of the crash after officials suspect his vehicle crashed into a stationary lorry while overtaking at speed near Lagos.
A spokesperson said the fatalities were his close friends Sina Ghami, his strength and conditioning coach, and Latif Ayodele, his trainer.
Just hours prior to the incident, Joshua and Ayodele posted footage of them playing table tennis.

“It is with the deepest and most profound sadness that we confirm, following a road traffic accident in Lagos Nigeria earlier today, the death of Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele. Both were close friends and integral members of Anthony’s team,” a spokesperson said.

“We respectfully ask that space and privacy be given to the families at this time while they process this truly shocking and devastating news.
“Anthony sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to hospital for checks and treatment. He is in a stable condition and will remain there for observation.”
Local police also confirmed to the Daily Mail that AJ is suffering from 'minor' injuries but remains stable.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, revealed that 'Joshua and one other passenger were immediately evacuated to a specialised medical facility in Lagos'. Officials in Nigeria also told the Daily Mail that Joshua was 'awake and conscious and had spoken with his family'.
"Following several clinical assessments, doctors have confirmed that both patients are stable and do not require any emergency interventions at this time," Sanwo-Olu said on social media.
"A comprehensive medical team has been assembled and will continue to monitor them closely.

"The Governments of Lagos and Ogun States are closely monitoring the situation and will ensure that the injured receive the best possible medical care. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash have already commenced."
Joshua's most recent opponent Jake Paul said on X that he is 'praying for the lost lives, AJ and anyone impacted by today’s unfortunate accident'.
"RIP Sina Ghami and Kevin 'Latif / Latz' Ayodele. My thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends and AJ," he added.
Boxer Chris Eubank Jr also posted on X: "Thank god our heavyweight champ survived that horrible car crash. And pray for the two fallen soldiers Latz & Sina & their families.
"I knew both… they were genuinely good men. Rest in Peace boys."
