Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty’s wedding has been the sight of much controversy, with all but Peaty’s sister not attending from his side of the family.
The marriage between the model and daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and the Olympic swimmer made headlines after Peaty’s family spoke out about it, criticising him.
Things reportedly went downhill at the pair’s engagement party attended by select family, including both sets of parents, with Peaty’s mother reported to have confronted TV star Gordon over arguments that more members of their side of the family should have been invited.
This eventually deteriorated to the point where the Olympic swimmer is reported to have exchanged ‘hurtful’ messages according to his mother, and his aunt is reported to have sent a scathing text shortly before he walked into Bath Abbey, the venue for their wedding.

With interest in the marriage between the two now sky high as a result of the controversy, many people have noticed an interesting detail about the wedding from the pictures released of the day.
The model walked into the venue wearing a white cape covering up her dress.
This was one of two dresses she wore on the day, having worn her mother’s wedding dress from when Tana Ramsay married Gordon back in 1996.
There is an actual reason, however, that Holly put a cape over her dress and, before you say it, no it isn’t that she spilled pre-wedding snacks down the side of it.
Holly reportedly wore a cloak over her wedding dress entering the venue because she will be featured in Vogue on New Year’s Day where the dress will finally be unveiled.
Though yet to be officially confirmed, some reports claim that the dress, which was kept from the eyes of the press but was on show for those at the actual wedding, was made by Victoria Beckham.
The Mirror’s Beauty Editor Laura Sutcliffe told HELLO! Magazine: “Victoria Beckham’s namesake label is known for its fine lines and classic silhouettes, but more recently, the fashion designer has introduced lace accents in her latest collections. Holly’s wedding dress features delicate meshwork at the neckline, which is reminiscent of some of her current pieces that showcase the same lace.
"It's also worth noting that Victoria has been branching out with her label; she created David’s suit that he wore when he collected his knighthood at Windsor Castle in November.
"It appears that bridal couture could be next on her list, especially as she was famously meant to design her daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz ’s bridal dress for her wedding to Brooklyn in 2022."
The Beckham family have themselves had a fairly public falling out, with Brooklyn having blocked the rest of his family on social media.
After widespread claims that David and Victoria had unfollowed him, Cruz Beckham came forward and posted about his brother: “NOT TRUE.
“My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”
Here’s hoping that the New Year brings some happiness for both families amid their public falling outs.
