It's rare to see the journalists and media in sport be almost as popular as the athletes themselves but Martin Brundle is a rare exception.
Although Brundle did compete in the sport between 1984 and 1996, he's become arguably more well known for his interviews during Sky's coverage of the various races throughout the F1 season.
The 67-year-old has interviewed some of the biggest celebrity names in the world, but it doesn't always go that well, although Shaquille O'Neil did once give him an incredible three-word answer following an awkward exchange.
Brundle's latest viral moment saw him approach Hugh Grant for a chat, with the journalist confessing that he was a fan of a series that the British actor hasn't actually appeared in.

He said: "Are you doing another round of The Gentleman, soon, because I really loved that?"
"Well, I did the film of The Gentleman," Grant replied. "I haven't seen the TV series."
"Oh right, it's really good, you really must,'" Brundle sheepishly replied before he quickly walked away while red in the face, much like someone who just said completely the wrong thing to the person they fancy.

Although it might have been embarrassing for Brundle, fans of F1 loved yet another viral moment from the journalist, who has also been caught out before as he looks to juggle interviews with a wide range of celebrity visitors in the paddock.
Kim Kardashian mate a lot of headlines when she attended the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this year, supporting her new boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, but it seems as if nobody had briefed her on the expected etiquette of celebrity guests, as she simply gave Brundle a blank stare when he tried to stop her for a quick chat.
Approaching her, he asked: "Kim, Martin Brundle, Sky F1, how are you today?"
She then gave Brundle a small wave, before he tried again, telling her: "Normally people have a quick chat with us."

According to The Independent, all celebrities on the grid are expected to speak to Brundle when approached for an interview, given his status in the sport.
This also came up when model Cara Delevingne declined an interview when approached by Brundle at Silverstone in 2023, with the reporter telling her entourage: "She doesnāt want to talk? But everybody needs to talk on the grid, thatās the deal now."
However, we can't blame the celebrity on this occasion, and it seems as if Martin needs to read up a little more on his iconic British film actors, especially since Colin Firth is never too far away from Hugh Grant.
