It's not a transfer deadline day without weird live TV antics

Sky Sports has been left a little red-faced after a man was spotted holding up a pair of 'rubber testicles' behind a reporter.

Football fans, of course, won't need reminding that today (30 August) is transfer deadline day, which means that sports news crews have spent the day camped outside various Premier League stadiums up and down the country in order to bring you the latest on any last minute signings for your team.

The day is also an opportunity for eager fans to cement themselves in English football heritage by getting themselves filmed on TV doing something weird or even x-rated behind reporters.

After all, who could forget the time a reporter had a blue dildo brushed on his face during the closing hours of the summer 2014 window.

Well, fans of deadline day follies will be delighted to hear that Sky Sports news has once again been plagued by an x-rated item during a live broadcast.

Earlier tonight, reporter Kaveh Solhekol had been updating fans on Chelsea's pursuit of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho while stood on location outside Stamford Bridge.

Which unfortunately made him a target for any fans who were feeling bold.

As Solhekol was addressing the camera, a man strolled up behind him waving what appeared to be a pair of rubber testicles in the air.

Happy Transfer Deadline Day to everyone who celebrates!

Solhekol made an attempt to block the man by standing in-front of him before he was swiftly escorted away by crew members.

The camera swiftly cut back to the studio, where presenters Dharmesh Sheth and Mike Wedderburn were later tasked with addressing the incident.

Apologising for the offending clip shortly afterwards, Wedderburn said: "We are talking Chelsea - apologies for earlier if you saw anything at Stamford Bridge that offended you. Apologies for that."

While Sky has understandably been left feeling a little red-faced by the offending appendage fans wasted no time in making sure the clip went viral on social media.

"DEADLINE DAY IS BACK! Kaveh Solhekol attacked by man dangling a set of rubber testicles over his shoulder. God bless the United Kingdom," one viewer joked.

"Not quite up there with the classic deadline day dildo but good attempt…" a second person wrote, while a third added: "This is Deadline Day Heritage."

The culprit of the prank has since come forward, with infamous YouTube prankster Jarvo69 - aka the guy responsible for blasting porn noises during an FA Cup match - posting on X that he was behind the prank.
