Football fans across the world will be counting down the days until the 2026 World Cup but 47 countries might as well not bother after a psychic revealed the winner.
It's set to the biggest World Cup in history, spanning three host nations of Mexico, Canada and the US and an increased 48 teams, which has allowed minnows such as Haiti, Cape Verde and Scotland to qualify.
The build-up to the sporting event has been marred by plenty of controversy, particularly after Donald Trump announced that fans of two of the qualified teams, Haiti and Iran, have been banned from attending.
While most folks complain about keeping politics out of sport, it's likely to be impossible this summer, although hopefully the focus will be very much on the football, and Brazilian psychic Michael Bruno reckons we can already start engraving the iconic trophy.

He told Globo Esporte: “Since 2022, I’ve been announcing the next champion team. Since then, I’ve been stating that Portugal will be the world champion.”
So, it seems as if football won't be coming home this summer, as the men's team continues it's long long wait for an international trophy, having failed at the final hurdle in recent European Championships.

Thomas Tuchel confirmed his England squad last week with some notable omissions including Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Harry Maguire, so we won't be seeing Trump joining Palmer on stage with a winner's medal for the second time, after his surprise appearance at the Club World Cup last summer.
Bruno didn't actually give an opinion on the Three Lions' chances, perhaps because he doesn't think we will make it out of the group stage, but he did suggest that holders Argentina will crash out in the quarters, while his native Brazil will lose in the semi-finals.
He said: “I don’t think Neymar is 100 per cent fit to play in this World Cup.
“And if he does play, once again, the national team will be eliminated before the semi-finals, because the team will revolve around him, repeating the tactical mistake of 2022.”

That sounds a bit like he's more of a football analyst rather than a psychic, but you can't really question his success rate, since he's been spot on with Spain (2010), Germany (2014) and France (2018).
However, it must be said that he backed Les Blues again in 2022, meaning he was just a penalty shoot-out away from making it four in a row.
Portugal could face England in the knockout rounds should they progress through their group, and Bruno reckons that his namesake, the Premier League player of the year Bruno Fernandes, and Cristiano Ronaldo could be lifting the trophy at the end of the summer tournament.
Sadly, Paul the Octopus is no longer around to predict an England win.
