Apple has debuted a string of brand new iPhone colours as the latest series has been unveiled.

The iPhone 16 has launched today (9 September) at the tech company's 'It's Glowtime' event and it's been quite the colourful launch, considering customers can take their pick from a range of new shades.

Alongside the announcement of new AirPods and the Apple Watch Series 10, the latest model of the iPhone and all its new features have finally been revealed too.

This includes it coming in several colours - and some never seen before.

So get ready to be overcome by a crippling desire to get rid of your iPhone which is in perfect working order, in favour of purchasing a flamboyant new device.

An Apple spokesperson said: "[The iPhone 16] celebrates colour in an unparalleled way."

She described 'new, rich colours' as the new iPhone will come in teal, pink, ultramarine, white and black.

We were introduced to a series of new hues when the iPhone 15 dropped last year, as customers could choose between pink, yellow, green, blue, and black.

But Apple have ditched the demure shades for a more vibrant look this time around, which has left people pretty excited.

Hundreds of social media have been discussing the new colours online since the announcement.

One person said: "Lovely colour options."

Another added: "I love the new pink colour of the iPhone 16."

A third wrote: "That teal iPhone 16 colour is really tempting me."

The latest device from Apple is set to go on sale later this month and you'll be able to purchase it from the likes of Sky Mobile, Amazon and Carphone Warehouse.

But it's not just the new colour scheme that's available which you should be excited about, as the iPhone 16 will also have a few swanky new features.

They will be kitted out with aerospace-grade aluminium, 85 percent recycled content in the enclosure and a new ultra-wide camera allowing for automatic focus, spatial photos and more light capture in low-light situations.

The iPhone 16 will also boast Apple Intelligence, including AI writing tools, voice transcribing and the rather bizarre Genmoji.

And its screen comes in two sizes: 6.1 inches for iPhone 16 and 6.7 inches for iPhone 16 Plus, which can reach a whopping 2000 nits of peak brightness and go as dim as just one nit.

Plus, it will feature a special camera button to make taking snaps even easier.

What more could we want, eh?
