Elon Musk has shared a shocking response as he continues to face backlash over the actions of his AI chatbot.
Grok, the primary artificial intelligence assistant on X, was launched in November 2023 but has been used for a number of concerning reasons in recent months.
Musk suggested last summer that the AI had simply been 'manipulated' into posting a number of wildly anti-semitic statements, including praising Adolf Hitler.
Things turned sexual when Grok was used to make explicit photos of users, which included the strange request of covering young women's faces with what was described as 'glue'.

And now, as the technology continues to advance, it has shown itself capable of putting nearly anyone in the world in X-rated positions, often without many clothes, as sick-minded individuals take advantage of the AI's obvious weaknesses - something which its creator is seemingly unwilling to address.

In the wake of threats from the likes of the UK government, who suggested that X could even be banned if nothing is done to address the images, Grok was made pay-to-use, which does little to stop those who are truly desperate to make the often illegal images.
Grok was already forced to apologise after creating an explicit image of minors, something which would land a human potentially 10 years in prison, but this is just a slippery slope for how paedophiles and sex offenders may be able to exploit AI in the future.
Musk has now spoken out about Grok once again, and if his words are anything to go by, a UK ban of X might not be out of the question, as he suggested that critics are just looking for 'any excuse for censorship'.
His nonchalant attitude is not surprising, even when Ashley St Clair, the mother of one of his kids, confirmed to the BBC that Grok had been used to generate sexualised photos of her as a child.

Meanwhile, Technology Secretary Liz Kendall issued the following statement: "Sexually manipulating images of women and children is despicable and abhorrent. It is an insult and totally unacceptable for Grok to still allow this if you’re willing to pay for it. I expect Ofcom to use the full legal powers Parliament has given them.
"I, and more importantly the public - would expect to see Ofcom update on next steps in days not weeks.

"I would remind xAI that the Online Safety Act Includes the power to block services from being accessed in the UK, if they refuse to comply with UK law. If Ofcom decide to use those powers they will have our full support.
"We will be banning nudification apps in the Crime and Policing Bill which is in parliament now.

"We are in the coming weeks bringing in to force powers to criminalise the creation of intimate images without consent.
"I expect all platforms to abide by Ofcom’s new VAWG guidance and if they do not, I am prepared to go further.
"We are as determined to ensure women and girls are safe online as we are to ensure they are safe in the real world. No excuses."
Despite the potential consequences of asking Grok to create these images and the pay-to-use system being introduced, it seems as if these disgusting 'deepfakes' will continue to plague X unless drastic action is taken.
