Facebook users are saying they don't like the new logo after the app icon mysteriously changed for them recently.
On certain devices the logo now bears a new colour scheme and people have been posting a couple of different designs.
You know what it's supposed to look like, a white 'f' on a tile of blue. But for some folks, that colour scheme has been inverted or in some cases it's now a blue 'f' on a tile of black.

It's certainly novel, but a lot of the people who've realised that the logo looks different don't seem to have appreciated the change and have taken to social media to point it out.
More than anything, they seem to be finding the alteration made to one of the more constant app designs on the platform to be 'very irritating'.
"How long until the new Facebook app logo doesn't hurt my brain?" someone else asked as they also had the black and blue ensemble on their screens now.

Going through changes can be difficult but folks are wondering why the logo has shifted now, and only for some people.
I myself just updated the app to see if anything would change but zero, zilch, nada.
Some have been able to see the funny side and joked that it's 'Evil Facebook', while others have been trying to guess whether it was part of some update or a tease for some kind of launch.
Whenever Facebook does something, a lot of people who like going on the internet are going to notice, like the time loads of the site's users were logged out without much in the way of explanation as to why.

Anonymous later claimed that a 'cyber attack' had been carried out against Meta, knocking people off their Facebook and Instagram accounts.
That probably cost the company quite a bit of money, but they seem to be doing alright.
One of the more popular theories is that what you're seeing is an icon Facebook will use when Apple users with iOS 18 switch to Dark Mode.

At least we can continue to rely on the common trend of anything changing regarding social media being a signal for people to get on social media and say they don't like it.
One would hope that in time the option to go back to the original logo design would become available, since the reaction to the new logo seems to be rather negative.
