iPhone hacks in general can make your life a lot easier, yet the only difficult part is knowing which hacks are worth your time.

Despite Apple having released 20 generations of iPhone since its launch in 2007, there are still so many of us who are completely oblivious to the smartphone's sneaky little features, including the so-called 'vampire setting' or the newly added security setting.

But one that's apparently been around for donkeys is called the 'Back Tap' feature.

Apple's 'Back Tap' feature has actually been around for a while, and it's pretty handy for those who love a bit of customisation.

Taking to TikTok is tech reviewer @ellyawesometech who says that you're using your iPhone wrong if you don't use the accessibility feature.

"Back Tap is an insane hidden iPhone feature!" she captioned the viral 2022 video, which now has a whopping 2.5 million views on TikTok.

The tech mogul told her fans: "You're using your iPhone wrong if you're not using the Back Tap feature.

"Yes, there's a secret button on the back of your iPhone."

"I use Back Tap so I can Shazam a song in two seconds," she revealed. "Look at that! Listening, we're ready to go."

You can basically use the feature to unlock a load of shortcuts.

Commenting on the clip, one stunned viewer said: "Omg omg omg you have change my life forever."

"If you enable this feature for screenshotting, I’d recommend setting it to triple tap to avoid accidental screenshots," a second person suggested.

While a third also said: "Set it to mute/unmute because the button doesn’t work on my phone, genius. So much easier than using the little button thing on the screen."

Intrigued? Here’s how to enable Back Tap on an iPhone and make the most out of this feature.

How to enable Back Tap on an iPhone:

First of all, if you want to enable Back Tap, you need an iPhone with iOs 14 software, which was released in September 2020 (sorry, Android users).

Now that you’ve got the right spec, you can enable the feature by opening Settings. Then, click 'Accessibility', followed by 'Touch'.

If you scroll down, you should see the 'Back Tap' option.

Now, take your pick from the Double or Triple Tap options, and choose from the list of various functions which you can enable with a tap, literally!

Fancy enabling the Shazam feature with a double tap?

Or maybe you want to quickly screenshot with a triple tap, which is also possible.

It's also worth mentioning that your one Back Tap button can control both double and triple settings independently.

Once you’ve selected your chosen functions, tapping the back of your phone two or three times should enable your chosen actions.
