A finance-guru has revealed a ‘secret’ in Apple’s return policy which allows you free replacements.

It’s not just an iPhone that comes at a great cost, all the accessories that go with it such as chargers and Airpods are where the money starts adding up.

But one self-proclaimed finance-guru has now revealed that you needn’t spend all that hard-earned cash on replacing your Apple accessories, because there has been a policy there protecting you all along.

In a TikTok seen by nearly 4.5 million people, Faares Quadri explained the policy which states that Apple has to replace or fix any defective products within a one-year warranty, at no charge to the owner.

Now, unfortunately, this doesn’t apply to iPhones, if it did, we’d all be truly quids-in.

But it does apply to all the Apple accessories which notoriously enjoy being problematic from time to time.

One person in the comments of the video stated that after enforcing this policy with Apple, they received a brand new pair of Airpods at no charge, after the previous pair had tech issues.

In the clip, Faares walks into the Apple shop waving his charger in the air.

He can be heard saying: “I just got it last year and it's already having issues.

“And according to your policy, if you buy an accessory and it stops working within one year and there's no signs of any physical damage, you'll give a replacement for free.”

Well, let’s take a look at what the company policy states: “If a defect arises during the Warranty Period, Apple, at its option will repair the product at no charge,... exchange the Product with a replacement product of the same model …”

Viewers were annoyed they hadn’t found out about this sooner, after presumably spending hundreds, if not thousands, on new accessories over the years.

One wrote: “I probably spent a grand on chargers and Airpods and you're telling me this now?”

Another said: “Do I need to show any proof of purchase? Or just need to bring the charger only?”

And this is the only caveat.

Faares noted that you do need to bring a proof of purchase due to the year-long warranty period, simply bringing the product into the store will not suffice.

He said: “Yeah, proof of purchase, but if you bought it through your iCloud, they should already have it.”
