Binley Mega Chippy fans have been left fuming after discovering there's another 'mega chippy' in Huddersfield. Catch the outrageous revelation here:

You know that TikTok has well and truly taken over the world when it's the cause of a Coventry fish and chip shop rising abruptly to fame out of absolutely nowhere.

Hundreds of teens have since ditched half-term plans and flocked to the West Midlands to not only get their fix of fries but also dance along to a viral theme song created for Binley Mega Chippy outside the shop.

Despite the shop's owner still having 'no idea' how the chippy has caused such a stir, its fans are now fiercely defending its honour after one user sniffed out potential competition.

One of the main fan accounts for the OG chippy (@binley_mega_chippy) has taken to TikTok 'seething with rage'.

The caption reads: "Words can’t describe this anger."

The user exposed the chippy with a montage of images of the shop. They stated: "It looks no where near as mega as the one and only Binley Mega Chippy.

"You will be hearing from my lawyers."

The post has amassed more than one million views, 100,000 likes and thousands of comments, with users raining in to debate which chippy reigns supreme.

One user said: "I LIVE IN HUDDERSFIELD BUT BINLEY MEGA CHIPPY IS SUPERIOR!!!"

"L it looks better than binley mid chippy," another wrote.

A third threw another spanner in the works. "There is a chippy called binley mega chippay in London," they said.

Adding even further to the chaos, another said: "There’s an Enfield mega chippy I think as well."

The debate has even spilled onto Twitter, with one user warning followers the Huddersfield chippy is 'nowhere near as big' as Binley Mega Chippy.

Another wrote, in full caps: "WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST HUDDERSFIELD MEGA CHIPPY, IT SPITS ON BINLEY MEGA CHIPPYS GRAVE."

One TikToker admitted that the whole thing was quite simply too confusing and that they still hadn't quite caught up with all the whole Binley Mega Chippy TikTok obsession.

Echoing my exact thoughts as I stared in utter bewilderment at my phone this morning, they said: "I dont understand this, I woke up and saw about 18 different tiktoks about binley chippies."

Confused or not, only one mega chippy will come out on top. We'll just have to wait and see if Binley Mega Chippy can retain its TikTok title.
