Tommy Fury has responded to Jake Paul's 24-hour request to confirm a fight.

The pair were meant to step into the ring and go head-to-head last year on 18 December in Tampa, Florida.

However, Fury backed out at the last minute due to suffering from a rib injury and chest infection.

The highly anticipated fight is now looking like it's finally set to go ahead.

Paul posted the call out this afternoon, Wednesday 22 June, pushing Fury's buttons by questioning why he's 'agreed to fight' but his 'dad is trying to pull [him] out again'.

Paul stated: "We've given you everything you asked for.

"$2M purse. VADA testing. Tampon's."

The YouTuber turned boxer then told the former Love Island star he has '24 hours to 2 clear this up,' threatening he would 'never give this opportunity again' if Fury failed to respond in the allocated time frame.

The YouTuber followed up with a video explaining the latest update to fans in more detail and questioning Fury's 'excuse' for planning on 'pulling out' from the fight against him for a second time, calling Fury a 'f***ing idiot'.

Fury wasted no time in responding, replying to the call-out in under 30 minutes after it was posted.

"See you august 6th pal," he wrote, locking in a date.

Despite Paul reportedly being the most 'feared' man in boxing according to Chael Sonnen, Fury's response to the YouTuber oozes calm.

Fury's confidence echoes earlier comments he made to LADbible last September that he would 'definitely' knock out Paul.

He has also threatened to 'break every single bone' in Paul's face after the YouTuber shared what he claimed was a DM from Fury's girlfriend, fellow Love Islander Molly-Mae Hague.

However, the stakes remain high for Fury, who's father, John, has said his son 'is retired from boxing' if he loses the fight against Paul or doesn't easily beat him.

It is unclear if the list of bizarre clauses written into the contract of Fury and Paul's initial fight will also roll over for when they step into the ring on 6 August.

One of the clauses is that if Paul wins the fight, Fury will have to legally change his name to 'Tommy Fumbles' for 30 days and use his new name on all of his social media platforms.

Fury's brother, Tyson – a.k.a. The Gypsy King – has also threatened that the Love Islander would have to change his last name if he loses to Paul.

Fury responded to Paul's call out in under 30 minutes.

The fight between Paul and Fury is set to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Paul previously revealed he would be fighting there, co-headlining a pay-per-view event alongside Amanda Serrano, however it was unconfirmed who his opponent would be until now.
