Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's former partner has offered up a bizarre explanation for a photo of the former prince leaning over a woman's body in the Epstein files.

The concerning image was released by the US Department of Justice when three million pages of documents relating to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein were made available.

Andrew can be seen wearing a white polo and jeans while he touches the unknown woman's stomach and the context of the photo remains unknown, though there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing.

Now, the former Duke of York's ex-girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey has suggested there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for the photo, claiming the Andrew was in the middle of a 'CPR training course.'

Hervey, who dated the royal shortly after his divorce from Sarah Ferguson in 1999, appeared on Dan Wootton's Outspoken podcast, to discuss her theory on what was going on in the photo, which shows a woman lying on the floor, with Andrew kneeling on top of her.

Questioning her belief, Wootton asked her: "Even after the publication of pages of the Epstein files, you are still saying that you don't believe Virginia Giuffre and Andrew even had consensual sex, you still believe that photo is a fake?"

"Absolutely," Hervey said, before the host brought up the photo in question and asked her: "What's going on here then?"

In response, the socialite brought up the fact Wootton was accused of tricking a colleague into sending intimate pictures and videos, saying: "You were falsely accused and you jump the gun on this, you just went there for clicks."

She continued: "I messaged Leah, who's Ghislaine [Maxwell]'s lawyer, and Ghislaine is a trained emergency medical technician."

When Wootton questioned whether she believes Andrew is giving CPR in the photo, she said: "Yeah, it's part of the course."

The outlandish claims come after Hervey controversially said that anyone who isn't mentioned in the Epstein files is a 'loser.'

Speaking on LBC, the 49-year-old admitted to being in the files herself and said 'Epstein knew everybody who was very powerful.'

"So, like if you were on the scene and you were powerful," she continued. "If you’re not in those files, it would be an insult because it just means that you were a bit of a loser."

Andrew previously insisted he'd cut contact with Epstein in 2006 following an investigation into his crimes, and he has previously denied any knowledge or involvement in the disgraced financier's crimes, however the files released earlier this year appeared to show the pair were still in contact in 2010.
