A man was arrested yesterday (6 May) near Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's home on suspicion of public order and weapon offences.
The Telegraph reported that the former prince had been walking his dogs in the evening near his new home on the Sandringham Estate when he was confronted by a balaclava wearing man sitting in a car.
The man reportedly spotted Mountbatten-Windsor from around 50 yards away and got out of the car to approach him while shouting.
Norfolk Police said in a statement: "Officers were called to Wolferton shortly after 7.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 6 May 2026) following a report a man was behaving in an intimidating manner in the village.

“Officers attended, and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of an offensive weapon. He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remains in custody.”

Mountbatten-Windsor, the younger brother of King Charles, has been living in his new residence on the Sandringham Estate since being evicted from the Royal Lodge.
He vacated his former home in February this year several months after being stripped of his royal titles, and his new home is not a stranger to police presence as he was arrested while living there as part of an investigation into suspicion of misconduct of public office.
