You might know Iris Jones better as that gran who married an Egyptian toyboy back in 2020, and now she's issued a warning.

After meeting on Facebook, she was 80 when she wed then 34-year-old Mohamed Ibriham before doing a candid (and pretty legendary) interview about it all on This Morning in 2021.

However, after shocking the world with her relationship and anecdotes about getting through a whole tube of KY Jelly at once, Jones revealed they’d split up last summer.

She told Closer at the time that while she ‘adored everything’ about him, it ‘became hard work’ and they were ‘arguing all the time’.

Not long after Ibiriham left the home, she got herself a cat, Mr Tibbs, and said he was the ‘perfect companion’.

And now, after recently finding herself a popular target, Jones has issued a warning to online daters.

She took to Facebook to say: “A warning to all vulnerable women online, chatting to scammers and con-artists, thinking they are messaging genuine males on legitimate dating sites.

“Be aware that they are only interested in getting their filthy paws on your money and will sweet-talk you for weeks, or even months in order to achieve their goals.”

Jones claims that just over the last few months she’s been targeted by four scammers, now giving herself the title as a ‘competent scam hunter’.

She says that one ‘evil’ person in particular attempted to con thousands out of her.

"You picked the wrong woman this time, because I make it my business to expose scammers such as you. I have really enjoyed being the puppet master, having you dance my tune,” she added.

Following her split from her toyboy last year, Jones slammed Ibriham as a ‘lying toe-rag’ and a ‘sewer rat’ to Fabulous.

She also claimed that he took £25,000 when he moved to the UK as well as an extra £14,000 which she sent directly over to Egypt before they tied the knot.

In an interview with MailOnline, he said: “I don't care about money. It's not true that I've never had a job – I've worked all over the Middle East as a welding inspector on power stations, in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

“I had a good salary. If I had been looking for money, I would have married a rich woman, not Iris. I've had many offers from rich women but I'm not like that.”

Ouch.

Well, either way lads, no matter how old you are – watch out for scammers.
