Jeremy Clarkson has made a touching offer to the parents of a four-year-old girl after her egg stand was stolen.
Earlier this week, it was reported that youngster Maisie Willis had been left devastated when a small wooden shop front she used for selling eggs to her neighbours had been stolen by teenagers while she celebrated her birthday.
"She has been collecting all the eggs, boxing them up, and selling them from a wooden stand in our front driveway," Maisie's mum, Chelsea, explained, adding that the eggs came from chickens the family kept in their garden.
The stand was stolen while the family were celebrating in the back garden, with the two teenagers proceeding to smash the wooden frame up and chucking the eggs across the road.

Maisie's parents were later able to track the two teenage boys down, who were made to apologise to the family, but this didn't account for Maisie's broken stand.
But in a heartwarming turn of events, Maisie's story would capture the hearts of the nation, including that of The Grand Tour and Clarkson's Farm star.
Clarkson first shared his thoughts about the situation in his weekly column for The Times, prompting Chelsea to reach out to the 66-year-old on X.
"Big shout out to @JeremyClarkson for taking the time to write about our daughter," she wrote.
"She loves watching @ClarksonsFarm1 and can’t wait for the next series!"
The post caught the attention of Clarkson himself, who reached out with an invite for Maisie to visit the Oxfordshire farm with her parents.
"I would love to host her at the farm one day. She could come and meet all our animals and Lisa could show her round our little shop," he replied.

Clarkson isn't the only person to reach out to the Willis family over the story, with budget supermarket chain Aldi also sending a replacement shop front so Maisie could continue her egg-selling business.
"When we heard 4-year-old entrepreneur Maisie’s egg stall was stolen whilst she celebrated her birthday, we knew we had to help. As luck would have it, we’ve got just the thing," read a post from the supermarket chain.
"Now Maisie has her own brand new eggstra special wooden shop front that she can sell her eggs from. We’re sure she’ll have her very own middle aisle in no time!"

Maisie's dad Tony added that the family had received support from kind neighbours, who've popped round to bring over extra gifts for the youngster.
"A few of the neighbours have come round and delivered extra little gifts to Maisie, and we’ve had lots of kind words from the neighbours," he said.
'Obviously, she gets help from my wife and me, but she’s going to go far, I’m sure. She’s got a wonderful life ahead of her with her business brain."
