Dr Baraa Almasri once lived with Marius Gustavson, known as the ‘eunuch maker’ in a basement flat in Haringey, London.
Here the criminal mutilator carried out extreme body modifications.
With Gustavson jailed for life in 2024, Almasri has now been struck off from the NHS as it was found he ‘demonstrated a willingness to be a part of the enterprise’.

Described in court at the time as a ‘lunatic’ and ‘butcher’, the Norwegian carried out male castration, penis removal and other procedures on his alleged victims.
He even once cooked human testicles to eat in a salad, had his own penis removed with a kitchen knife and froze his own leg so it was amputated.
Almasri was arrested in December 2021 after concerns were raised about his relationship with Gustavson.

It’s understood that the pair met in January 2019 before Almarsi moved into his London home just over a year later.
He answered no comment to all questions when arrested and investigators later discovered a number of messages on his phone that appeared to show his support for the grim procedures.
The tribunal into Almarsi’s conduct heard that text messages showed he viewed Gustavson’s criminal behaviour as a ‘source of humour.
Receiving dozens of graphic images, he had told his roommate ‘you’re being naughty’.
The doctor had said in texts about the criminal actions that many of the alleged victims had treatable psychiatric problems. However, he didn’t make an attempt to prevent the procedures or report Gustavson.
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) report states: “In the tribunal’s view, the messages demonstrate that Dr Almasri appeared supportive of Mr A’s activities.
“He showed interest in those procedures and in helping with the website and the procedures themselves in the future. He messaged about his lack of surgical skill, but was willing to learn if Mr A could teach him.

“The tribunal noted that the activities were discussed over a prolonged time period – more than one year – yet at no point did Dr Almasri seek to dissuade Mr A to stop his activities.
“Rather, Mr A’s activities appeared to be a source of humour and amusement between them. Dr Almasri also sought to know more about certain procedures. His questions and responses were such as could be perceived by Mr A as encouragement.”
The MPTS concluded that he should be erased from the medical register with his conduct ‘so serious as to be fundamentally incompatible with continued registration’.
Not present at the hearing earlier this month, Almarsi came to the UK in 2019 for an unpaid work partnership at Essex Partnership University Trust.
Between November 2019 and February 2021, he had further placements at Rochford Hospital, Basildon mental health unit and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping.
Gustavson was jailed for life with a minimum term of 22 years, admitting offences including five counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He netted more than £300,000 for 2017 and 2021 from his EunuchMaker website and ran a ring with other men sentenced alongside him.
