Michael Barrymore has blasted 'misinformation' online after accusing a social media account of harassing him.
Sharing an emotional video on the platform, the 74-year-old comedian and television presenter revealed that he'd been targeted by a TikTok account claiming to be spreading awareness about the death of Stuart Lubbock, a 31-year-old man who died while attending a party at Barrymore's house in 2001.
"There's been a lot of misinformation about the tragic death of Stuart Lubbock," he began. "And I simply cannot allow it to carry on. "
Barrymore went on to reveal that an anonymous TikTok user had been creating content which accused him of abusing his wife and being close to serial sex offender Jimmy Savile – allegations which Barrymore denied.

"It's clear that this individual doesn't give a f**k about Stuart Lubbock," he said.
"It’s all me in the thumbnails, my face, pointing fingers, question marks and making the whole story so it’s just one-sided."
Barrymore went on to reaffirm that he had no involvement in the death of Lubbock, who was found unconscious in a swimming pool at his Essex home.
The father-of-two was later ruled to have died under suspicious circumstances, with a post-mortem revealing severe internal injuries, leading officers to suspect that Lubbock may have been 'raped and murdered'.
Barrymore was arrested in connection with Barrymore's death in 2007 and later released. The presenter subsequently sued Essex police for damages made to his reputation and career, with the forces later admitting that he was wrongfully arrested.
He won a wrongful arrest claim against the force in 2017.
Meanwhile, no one has ever been charged in connection with Lubbock's death

"There is no evidence that connects me or anybody else at my house to the death of Stuart Lubbock, and there never will be, because it’s fictional and it’s made up," Barrymore insisted.
"I took the police to court in 2017, and I won my case for wrongful arrest."
Barrymore went on to reveal that he'd been in contact with the Met Police's cyber crime unit, who he said were now looking into his complaints as a 'serious case of harassment and defamation'.
The content creator said: "You can't comprehend the mental suffering this has given me... It's so wrong, and it's got to stop."
LADbible Group has approached representatives of Michael Barrymore and TikTok for comment.
