Brit goes missing in Amsterdam after telling his friends he ‘forgot his passport' before flight home

A British tourist has reportedly gone missing in Amsterdam after telling his friends he 'forgot his passport' before the flight home.

Ryan Jones was with his friends at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol when he told them he needed to fetch his travel documents on 4 May.

The 34-year-old was last seen at 2:17pm and is said to have made a phone call to the group shortly after he left them, according to The Sun.

Police in Amsterdam have reportedly issued a public appeal for information on Jones' disappearance.

Jones, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall, has been described as a 'large man' who was possibly wearing a white baseball cap when he left. He also has 'a tattoo on his right forearm'.

Dutch police have asked anyone with information to contact them immediately.
