The man who died after falling at an Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium on 1 August has been revealed to be Lee Claydon, a father-of-one.

The Met Police said they were called to Wembley at 10.19pm to find a man 'with injuries consistent with a fall' who was pronounced dead at the scene. He is said to have fallen from one of the upper balconies.

Police got involved following his passing, asking the public for any additional details. Wembley and Oasis both issued statements on the untimely loss, with the latter saying they were 'shocked and saddened' by the incident.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "At around 22:19hrs on Saturday, 2 August, officers on duty at Wembley Stadium for the Oasis concert responded alongside venue medics and the London Ambulance Service to reports that a person had been injured.

"A man - aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."

Lee's cousin, Shannon Gabrielle, recently took to Facebook in an emotional statement, saying: "Honestly don't even know what words to write right now.

"My cousin Lee tragically passed away this weekend after no doubt having the time of his life at the Oasis concert this weekend, most will have seen snippets in the news I'm sure & as you can imagine it has devastated the whole family and for his closest knit family unit it's the toughest time they are going through ever right now."

She shared his GoFundMe page, asking for any donations from people to help his partner Amanda and his son Harry.

"You just don't fathom you will go out for a night of amazing fun & not come home at the end of it," she wrote.

His brother, Aaron, set up the GoFundMe page for his family.

He wrote: "Hi everyone, my name is Aaron Claydon and I have set up this gofundme page for Amanda, Harry, Matthew and James who have very sadly and tragically lost their Dad, partner and also my brother Lee, the man I have always looked up to.

"Our family has been turned upside down and are struggling to deal with this devastation and unexpected loss.

"Lee leaves behind his Son, Dad, Partner, Brothers, Sisters, Nephews and Niece.

"Lee was a loving family man who was a role model to his son Harry and was loved so much by all his family. Lee would have done anything for any of us and he was taken from us far too soon and we will miss him so very much.

"Lee loved all outdoor activities, one of his favourite hobbies was fishing. He also loved music and his guitar. He also really enjoyed going to watch and support the boys and his nephew at their football games.

"Amanda and the boys have our full support at this very sad time which is why we would love to be able to help them financially as well as emotionally.

"Please help us raise as much funds as we can to take one worry off Amanda and family right now as they are going through any family’s worst nightmare."

Lee was excited to attend one of Oasis' comeback shows with several family members, as Aaron wrote on Facebook before the show: "This is gonna be the day," tagging Lilly Claydon, Lennon Claydon, and Lee, adding: "Make sure you have downloaded the Shazam app."

Lennon replied: "Mad for it."

Aaron described Lee as his 'best mate' and 'the man I looked up to and the man I was lucky enough to call my brother' in a heartfelt post on Facebook.

Lee's partner, Amanda, also paid tribute to him through her cleaning Facebook page, calling him her 'soul mate' and that she was 'grateful to have spent the time we had' despite it being cut short.
