Son of influencer who died after fifth penis enlargement speaks out on death

The son of a social media influencer who died after undergoing a fifth penis enlargement procedure has said his dad 'didn’t have anything to be ashamed of.’

British businessman Igho ‘Tiny’ Ubiribo tragically died in Bangkok back in March after travelling overseas for the works to be done.

The social media star, who had 186,000 followers, died after undergoing the elective cosmetic procedure while traveling overseas, it was confirmed.

His death was caused by a pulmonary embolism, which is a blood clot in the lungs, an inquest at Westminster Coroner’s Court previously heard.

The medical cause of death was noted at the hearing as a ‘genital hyaluronic acid injection’, with traces of the filler found in his lungs.

Westminster Coroner’s Court was told that the embolism had been triggered by a ‘cosmetic injection’ into his penis.

Hours after his appointment, during a massage at a hotel, Ubiribo began suffering with chest pain and collapsed, the Daily Mail reported. He was taken to Samitivej Hospital, but died in the early hours of March 6.

Ubiribo, known online under the name Ego2222, had presented a glamorous lifestyle to followers with selfies posted in designer clothes and on luxury holiday stays.

Now his son has spoken out in an interview with the Mail, claiming the family was left confused as to why he had the procedure carried out in the first place.

"No one [in the family] believes that the procedure was the cause of his death," Junior said.

"He didn’t have a micro penis, he didn’t have anything to be ashamed of. He’s had multiple partners, he wouldn’t need a penis enlargement.

"It’s actually quite painful to read these reports about him having this surgery because he didn’t need it."

Thailand authorities are now said to be investigating the clinic following the penile filler injection treatment.

The ministry of public health ordered the probe this week, as per The Bangkok Post. Health minister, Pattana Phromphat, told reporters that the department of health service support (DHSS) and the food and drug administration (FDA) were examining the clinic and the treatment Ubiribo received.

“When it comes to medical procedures, we advocate for the highest level of caution,” Mr Phromphat said.

The clinic’s management reportedly told investigators that Ubiribo had been a patient there since 2024.

It said he had undergone five penile enlargement procedures, with the first four carried out in 2024 and 2025.
