The British woman who was thrown in a Turkish jail after damaging hotel property while celebrating her boyfriend's new teeth has given an update on her situation.
Georgia Harrison, a 32-year-old mum from Rochdale, has spent almost two months stranded in the Middle Eastern country after she and her boyfriend Arron had one too many drinks and ended up smashing the shower screen in their hotel room.
The cleaner said she mixed antipsychotic medication with alcohol, which caused her to completely black out, and when she and Arron awoke, they fled the accommodation only to be arrested en route to the airport on 7 May.

On a GoFundMe page, it has been alleged that she was told to pay £15k to the hotel in damages, and that her current travel ban would only be lifted once she's paid up in court.
Georgia has claimed that a UK lawyer advised her to only offer £3k since damages were closer to the £1k mark, but a solution has still not be found, and she has now been away from her 12-year-old daughter for almost two months.

All sorts of allegations have been posted on the Brit's Facebook page, including that the 'Turkish mafia' were planning to kidnap her and Arron, the translator was reportedly friends with the hotel owners and that she's been denied all of her psychosis medication.
However, there appears to be more positive news on the horizon after a Facebook post yesterday revealed that she's been offered free advice and support on her ongoing case from a UK solicitors.

She also provided an update on her situation, writing: "I don’t have it in [me] to stay and wait it out. I want to just pay the money and go but up to now they won’t even except the £10k even [though] the actual damage was valued at £1,000.
"It’s crazy but what else do you do, just sit and wait and get frustrated at the situation? [Yes] I put myself in but wow I’m trying every option to get home and nothing at all is working still."

Georgia clarifies that she's attempted several different ways of leaving the country so that she can get home to her daughter, but has seemingly been stopped at passport control at each of them, as she desperately tries to return to her family.
Previously, she posted: "I’ve tried to pay I’ve tried to resolve it I don’t deserve to be kept from my family and daughter for this long I’m not a drug smuggler or a bank robber I made a mistake what else can I say I’m sorry.

"But more than anything I am so ashamed that the whole wide world is reading this about me but it is what it is I have to do everything I can try to do to get home to my daughter."
