The Sussexes plans for a family holiday to London have gone kaput.
Prince Harry was set to bring his wife, former Suits star Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, to the UK on Monday (6 July).
However, the 41-year-old will be flying solo tomorrow after he apparently came to the conclusion that it would not be safe for his brood to travel with him, as his request for police protection was denied.
Harry is heading back across the pond for five-days to mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games in Birmingham, while he will also be partaking in other public engagements.

Fans of him and Meghan had hoped it would be a family affair, but as his bid to obtain police protection was denied, this has now been called off.
The duke had been waiting for a review by the Risk Management Board (RMB), part of the process by which the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) rules on his security requirements.

Last week, it was reported that the father-of-two's formal request for security had been rejected. Had it gone ahead, it is believed the security would be funded by taxpayers.
Harry has previously spoken out about his fears for his family's safety on UK soil without it and told the BBC last year: "I can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point.
"It's really quite sad that I won't be able to show my children my homeland."
It is understood that Meghan, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, could still join Harry when he leaves London and heads to other parts of the UK, although this is still up in the air.
Meghan, 44, was scheduled to join her other half on visits to the Royal Hospital Chelsea in the UK capital and an Invictus event at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, reports state.
According to The Telegraph, Princess Diana's youngest son has been 'liaising directly' with his dad King Charles about the trip. It is unclear whether they have planned a reunion.
It was previously hoped that the monarch would be able to see his youngest grandchildren for the first time in four years if Harry brought his kids along.

The youngsters last saw their grandfather in person during the late Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
Harry is said to have intended to bring his wife and children to the UK for around two weeks in total before his hopes of obtaining police protection were dashed.
"Harry longs to bring his children to the UK, to show them where he comes from and to introduce them to their heritage," a source told the Daily Mail.
"And he wants to take them to Althorp which is where Diana was raised and where she rests. It's important to him that the English side of their heritage is part of their life.
"But their security is everything. There are real and credible threats and he will not put his family in danger."
It is unclear whether he will accept King Charles' invitation to stay at a royal residence while he's back home.
