Wetherspoons selling 99p pints across 750 pubs from next week

Tis the season to enjoy dirt cheap pints thanks to Spoons

We all know that the January sales are about the best place to find bargains, but what about looking to Wetherspoons instead of retail?

There is so much that January (a month that feels like it lasts for years) can help you with.

Not only is it a time where everyone collectively vows to be better people, but it’s also a time when things that you’d always wanted but couldn’t afford become suddenly very affordable.

That’s the same thing with what Wetherspoons is doing for those who can only afford a few pints at the best of times.

Instead of forking out a couple of quid for a refreshing beer, now, the cheapest pint you’ll be able to purchase will be 99p.

According to the chain, from 2 January to 16 January, 770 pubs will be taking part in a fantastic deal to wet your lips for two whole weeks.

With England and Wales taking part on those days and Scotland joining a day later, the UK is about to start this year off with a boozy bang.

Not only will it pertain to alcohol, but you’ll also be able to nab yourself some non-alcoholic and soft drinks too, so it’s cheaper to take your kids out for a few fruity pops.

Out of the 770 pubs in those locations, 750 of the pubs will be serving pints from between 99p and £1.49.

Then, for the hot drinks lovers, 660 of the chain locations will be offering its Lavazza coffee, tea and hot chocolate, as well as free refills, for £1.29.

What a good time to be within the vicinity of a Wetherspoons.

According to Tim Martin, the spoons founder and Chairman, as per MetroUK: “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pubs too.

“The range of drinks and food on sale in the pubs is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes.”

He revealed that ‘this year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks’ and he reckons that ‘the January Sale will prove popular with our customers.’

Too right, Tim.

He added: “As always, staff at the pubs will serve customers responsibly.”

If they announce that its cocktail pitchers will be included in this price, I might camp there for the two weeks and enjoy the deal while it lasts.

I said it ‘might’.
