Officers stopped the eye-catching vehicle as it was heading to a car meet in South Mimms, Hertfordshire, on Bank Holiday Monday (30 August).
Cops caught the Lamborghini Aventador being driven in 'an anti-social manner' on the A1 during the early hours of the morning.
The driver then told officers that the car wasn't taxed because it was 'too expensive'.
Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (BCH) Road Policing Unit said the Italian-made motor was stopped because the driver had already been warned twice about causing 'alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public'.
In a tweet, the BCH Road Policing Unit said: "Vehicle was already subject to 2 x S59 warnings [likely to cause alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public], but the driver decided to drive in an anti-social manner en route to a car meet.
"Seized under S60 and it's also untaxed as it's too expensive...driver walking home in tears."

Tom ordered our famous Chicken Tikka Masala and enjoyed it so much that as soon as he had finished, he ordered it all over again - The greatest compliment :yum: pic.twitter.com/gemd7QJUEg
Cruise was said to be so delighted with the dish, that after eating one he immediately reordered himself another.
That's how to live life.
