Bizarre moment Donald Trump appears to accuse his supporters of taking weight-loss injections during a rally

Donald Trump appeared to suggest that his supporters were taking weight-loss drugs during a rally to celebrate the first 100 days of his second term.

In that time he's sacked a whole load of government staff before being told he'd have to try and rehire them, attempted to rename the Gulf of Mexico and threatened to invade Greenland, Canada and Panama.

He's also classified thousands of people who are still alive as 'dead' in an attempt to get them to leave the US, sent people to a mega-prison in another country and kicked off a global trade war which has resulted in a tit-for-tat tariff battle with China.

On top of that, he's been largely ineffectual at trying to stop the war in Ukraine, having asked Vladimir Putin to 'stop' bombing civilians while trying to push a peace deal that would let the Russian leader keep almost everything he's taken.

A US presidential term is normally 1,461 days so there's plenty more where that came from.

Trump is in a celebratory mood at the moment and to commemorate his first 100 days of his second term in office he held a rally with his supporters in Michigan where he declared he'd had 'the most successful first 100 days of any administration in the history of our country'.

Given the controversial nature of what he's been doing, there are plenty who would not be cheering on that supposed success.

Trump also appeared to try his hand at crowd work, leading to a bizarre moment where he appeared to suggest that some of his supporters were on weight-loss drugs.

He called out the 'front row Joes', telling them 'you haven't changed, you've lost a couple of pounds'.

"Probably getting one of those jabbers," Trump said, miming sticking the side of his torso with a needle.

While it seemed weird, Trump supporters lapped it up and he then pivoted to calling his former rival Joe Biden 'the worst president in history'.

Elsewhere in his 100 day celebrations, Trump gave an interview to ABC and made some rather dramatic claims, including saying: "Prices are down, gasoline is down, energy is down. Tourism is going to be way up - wait until you see the numbers. Tourism is way up."

He was challenged on this immediately, as ABC's Terry Moran interjected to point out that tourism wasn't down at all, as Trump insisted that when 'the real numbers come out' they'd prove him right.

A body language expert told LADbible that Trump got 'frustrated and angry' during the interview, so it's not all gone his own way.

Meanwhile, BBC Fact Check reported that average gasoline prices had actually increased a few cents from the price they were when Trump took office, while the price of eggs has risen to record highs during his first 100 days.
