El Chapo's wife, Emma Coronel Aispuro, has recorded an insight into her private life, shortly after some of the drug kingpin's pleas from jail were released.
The 36-year-old took to social media this week where she gave a glimpse into her life, posting a video of herself at a gym session in California.
In the clip, Coronel Aispuro could be seen working on a set of pull ups, which she then posted online.

Back in 2021, Coronel Aispuro was arrested at Dulles International Airport, Washington for her involvement with the Sinaloa drug cartel.
Coronel Aispuro was originally sentenced for three years in jail for conspiring to distribute drugs and launder money, but she was later released after serving half the sentence.
At her sentencing, prosecutors had stated that she’d played a ‘minimal role’ in the organised crime gang and had mainly been supporting her husband, El Chapo, who she’d married as a teen.
In a later interview with Reuters, federal prosecutor Anthony Nardozzi told the outlet: "While the overall effect of the defendant's conduct was significant, the defendant's actual role was a minimal one. The defendant acted primarily in support of her husband.”
Coronel was also fined $1.5 million in connection to the multi-billion-dollar criminal empire.

Coronel's Instagram clips came shortly after US District Judge Brian Cogan nixed El Chapo's handwritten letters in which he pleaded for a new trial and extradition to Mexico, as per the New York Post.
In one letter, Guzman claimed that 'the [Mexican] government was responsible for all the violence crimes: I did not harm to no one' before a second letter saw him argue to be released from jail, writing: “My name is Joaquin Guzman that are fighting for extradition release to Mexico.”
In a letter dated 20 April, Guzman argued 'the verdict of my trial was fair to my foreign policy on having a chance to dismiss my case on not showing no hardcore evidence for my release.'
Meanwhile, Judge Cogan said that 'some of these documents make no sense, and none of them has any legal merit.'

Last year, Coronel Aispuro opened up about her relationship with El Chapo in Married to El Chapo: Emma Coronel Speaks.
“To this day, I still wonder what would have happened, if I had married someone else," she said, explaining that the pair had a 'symbolic' marriage.
"It was a symbolic wedding. We did not get married legally. Simple, at my ranch, with my family, music, my cake."
