Kid Cudi took the stand in the Diddy trial today (22 May) and made several allegations against the record executive.
The American artist, real name Scott Mescudi, testified in court about becoming embroiled in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' relationship with Cassie Ventura, 38.
The Ohio rapper dated Cassie very briefly in 2011 while she was still involved with Diddy, 55, who is on trial for charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution, all of which he denies.

Having pleaded not guilty to these charges, Combs could face a life sentence if convicted.
Cudi, 41, made several claims against Diddy while on the stand, having made friends with Cassie in 2008 before starting to date her for a short period three years later.
The artist also alleged that his car was set on fire by Diddy while he was dating Cassie.

Cassie and Diddy 'had some problems' when he started dating her
Cudi told the court that while they had known each other for three years, he and Cassie began dating in 2011 because 'she and Sean Combs had some problems, and they weren't dating anymore'.

The actor and musician said he was under the impression that the 'Long Way 2 Go' singer was no longer with Diddy.
Kid Cudi got a call from Cassie after Diddy 'discovered their relationship.'
Cudi recalled that he got a call from Cassie in December 2011 around 6am.
She told him that Diddy had found out they were dating, saying: "She asked me to pick her up. She sounded really stressed on the phone, nervous, and scared, so I went to pick her up."
Diddy's employee was 'on the verge of tears' and 'scared' when Cudi picked Cassie up
Cudi told the court that when he picked Cassie up on that day in 2011, they spoke on the phone to Capricorn Clark, one of Diddy's employees, who the rapper described as 'very scared, sounded like she was on the verge of tears' (via CNN).

He alleged that she told them that Combs and one other person were in Cudi's house, and a car was waiting outside for them.
He said he called Diddy and asked if he was in his home with the producer allegedly saying: "I just want to talk to you."
Cudi made his way over, and Diddy told him, "I'm over here waiting for you."

Things at Kid Cudi's house were 'moved'
The artist further alleged that items had been 'moved' after returning home, detailing that his security cameras had also been moved after Combs' supposed visit.

He said he hadn't moved them, adding that gifts bought for his family were allegedly opened and on the kitchen counter while his dog was locked in a bathroom, which Cudi testified he did not do.
He ignored Diddy's texts after the alleged break-in
Cudi added that while he spent the holiday with Cassie and her family at their home in Connecticut, Combs allegedly messaged him a couple of times.
Adding that he was probably 'in the dark' and 'wanted to talk', he said that he 'didn't want to talk' following the alleged break-in.
"You broke into my house, you messed with my dog, I don't want to talk to you." he said.
Kid Cudi called the police after 'break-in'
The 41-year-old said he returned home and called Diddy to ask him where he was, recalling that he 'was on his way'.

He added: "I wanted to confront him. I wanted to fight him."
But Cudi then decided to call the police, adding that he thought at the time he 'didn't know who he had with him' or 'what his intentions are' before making a police report about the alleged break-in.

Cudi alleged that he got a call from his dog watcher in January 2012, telling him that his car was on fire, and recalled that he was at his ex-girlfriend's sister's house around 45 minutes away.
He gave photos that his friend had sent to him as evidence, and the jury reviewed the images.
The artist admitted his Porsche couldn't be salvaged, pointing out 'the damage of the Molotov cocktail in my Porsche'.
"It looks like the top of my Porsche was cut open, and that's where the Molotov cocktail was put in."
He claimed that his car was damaged beyond repair
Cudi recalled that law enforcement found a Molotov cocktail in the driver's seat but that it was 'kind of just burnt up' by the time he got back.
When asked about his initial reaction to what had happened, he dead-panned, "What the f**k?"
He explained that the car was beyond repair after this.
Kid Cudi meets with Combs after car fire
A couple of days after the fire, Cudi told the court that he called Combs to tell him 'we needed to meet up and talk'.
"He had been wanting to talk to me. After the fire I said, 'this is getting out of hand." he said (via ABC News).
The rapper said the two met at a club in Los Angeles, where he claimed Combs was 'standing there staring out the window with his hands behind his back, like a Marvel supervillain'.
He claimed that the pair had talked 'the whole story' about he and Cassie's relationship, with Combs' demeanour allegedly being 'very calm', which Cudi claimed was 'off-putting'.
When Cudi asked 'what are we going to do about my car', he alleged that Combs had replied: "He looked right back at me, very cold stare, and said ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about."
