Melinda French Gates has spoken out after the most recent release of Epstein files contained the claims that her ex-husband Bill Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease from a Russian woman and tried to slip his wife antibiotics so she wouldn't find out.
She told the Wild Card podcast she felt 'just unbelievable sadness' about the claims, adding that she was 'so happy to be away from all the muck'.
Melinda added that the details and claims from the files 'are for those people and for even my ex-husband, they need to answer to those things, not me'.
She had previously said that her ex-husband's ties with Epstein had been a factor in their divorce, with them separating in 2021.

A year after their separation she had said in an interview: "I did not like that he [Bill Gates] had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein… I made that clear to him."
She explained that she had met Epstein just once and described the convicted sex offender as 'abhorrent' and 'evil personified'.
"I had nightmares about it afterwards," she said.
Speaking further on the podcast of the consequences of Epstein and the actions indicated in the files, she said: "No girl should ever be put in the situation that they were put in by Epstein and whatever was going on with all of the various people around him."
She added that the files 'bring back memories of some very, very painful times in my marriage' which she felt she 'had to leave', saying she hoped there was 'some justice' for the victims.
"At least... I’ve been able to move on in life. What they went through is just unimaginable," Melinda had said.
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates had described his meetings with Epstein as 'a huge mistake', and the latest releases of the Epstein files contain emails the convicted sex offender sent to himself alluding to the end of a friendship between the two of them.
In the email to himself Epstein had written: "To add insult to the injury you then subsequently with tears in your eyes, implore me to please delete the emails regarding your STD, your request that I provide you antibiotics that you can surreptitiously give to Melinda, and the description of your penis."
Another email Epstein sent himself claimed this was a 'consequence' of Gates having 'sex with Russian girls'.
It is not clear whether these emails were ever sent, and a spokesperson for Bill Gates previously told LADbible of the latest Epstein files releases: "These claims - from a proven, disgruntled liar - are absolutely absurd and completely false.
"The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein's frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame."
