Two sisters and their friend have been arrested after allegedly stabbing a mum-of-five to death in the middle of the street.
Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19, and their 21-year-old friend Kyandra Renee Faz , 21, have been arrested on murder charges after victim Caroline ‘Caro’ Peña, 32, was stabbed multiple times in broad daylight in Del Rio, Texas on Thursday (25 June).
The Del Rio Police Department said Peña was rushed to hospital around 2pm local time and succumbed from her injuries at 9pm after she was sent to a medical facility in San Antonio for emergency surgery.
Footage taken from outside the siblings’ home at 4pm showed Amaya smiling as cops escorted her into a patrol car.

A barefoot Kitty was also seen wearing black shorts and a halter top with an illustration of white hands cupping her breasts.
The other friend was later arrested, as police are working to figure out a motive.
Michael Elizondo, an independent journalist in Del Rio, told the New York Post that he took his camera to the area after hearing that something 'serious' was going on.
“I didn’t know what was going on, but I knew it must be serious,” the 44-year-old said.

“I saw the first girl going into the car, and I thought ‘whatever’ but the second one caught my eye.
“That girl was in a happy mood… She was all smiling, goofing off like nothing happened.”
When Amaya was put in the police car, 'all of the sudden I see the window go down, and the girl was sticking out her face, sticking out her tongue and goofing off', Elizondo said.
A person who lived in the area told Elizondo that they’d seen the sisters 'driving recklessly' down the road earlier that day.

Peña’s childhood friend, Zelina Ochoa, told KENS 5: “She was one of those people that she was born to be a mom.
“She really loved being a mom. If you needed something and she had it, even if it was her last, she’d give it to you.”
“This wasn’t something that happened in a back alley; this happened at the corner near Sonic on one of our busiest roads in broad daylight,” Ochoa added.
Another friend, Christina Salinas, said she missed a call from Peña shortly before the stabbing.
“I feel like if I would have answered that call, honestly I would have been there with her,” Salinas said.
"Following the victim’s death, Kyandra Renee Faz, Kitty Mia Diaz, and Amaya Cookie Diaz were each charged with Murder," the police said.
"All three were transported to the GEO Correctional Facility, where they remain pending magistration.
"This investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional charges may be filed as investigators continue to gather evidence and determine the full circumstances surrounding this incident."
