Why Trump carries fridge full of his blood type inside £1,100,000 bulletproof limousine 'The Beast'

The President travels with a fridge of his blood type at all times, and for good reason

There's a specific reason why Donald Trump carries a fridge of his blood type around in his Presidential limousine.

The 47th US President does a lot of things that are, let's say, unorthodox for a world leader, but surprisingly, this isn't one of them.

In fact, his predecessors have done the same thing while riding in their own custom-made vehicles, all of which have been nicknamed 'The Beast'.

Designed to look like a stretched out Cadillac XT6 sedan, the £1.1 million monster is designed solely to protect Trump and his top advisors from any form of attack.

It's said that The Beast weighs somewhere near 20,000 pounds, seemingly living up to its name.

The vehicle is equipped to deal with any situation, with its predecessor of the same name being debuted by Barack Obama during his 2009 inauguration.

If Trump were to get injured, the limo would be equipped to deal with it as it travels with a number of medical supplies on board, including its own oxygen supply that can be piped into the airtight cabin if under attack.

This isn't all though, as The Beast carries a supply of blood carrying the President's blood type in case of an emergency or attack, such as Trump's near-death experience when a bullet pierced his ear at a rally last summer.

The limo itself can hold up to seven people, while essential staff such as the president's military doctor tend to follow in one of three SUVs, known as the Control Car.

There are a number of other medical supplies on board too, with The Beast said to be able to withstand rocket-propelled grenades, according to NBC.

The armoured car is thought to be made of steel, aluminum and ceramic, which can each deal with different types of threats, though the Secret Service has consistently remained tight-lipped to provide all the details on the vehicle, for obvious reasons.

Walls are thought to be eight inches thick, while windows are believed to be five inches thick and multilayered.

The car is completely sealed to protect against biochemical attacks, even using run-flat tires inside extra-large wheel wells so it can continue running no matter what, while boasting some cool spy-level gadgets.

A night vision system is installed, while the car can put out a smokescreen, fire tear gas, or even lay down oil to send chasing vehicles into the gutter.

Apparently, the door handles can even electrocute unauthorised personnel if they try to get in, while Trump can even dispatch the necessary nuclear codes to launch an attack, if it's ever needed.

Basically, it's a vehicle that even Batman would be envious of.
