Walmart Forced To Apologise After Selling Christmas Jumper That Shows Santa Doing Coke

The range of 'ugly Christmas sweaters' showed Santa in a number of compromising positions

Walmart has apologised after a range of 'ugly Christmas sweaters' were found on its Canadian website, one of which showed Santa about to indulge in what looks like three lines of cocaine.

The retailer had the items online, available to buy in Canada. On the one that caused offense, Santa had something in his hand, with the words 'LET IT SNOW' printed underneath him on the blue knitted top.

The description - get ready to cringe - reads: "We all know how snow works. It's white, powdery and the best snow comes straight from South America. That's bad news for jolly old St. Nick, who lives far away in the North Pole. That's why Santa really likes to take savor the moment when he gets his hands on some quality grade A Colombian snow.

"He packs it in perfect lines on his coffee table and then takes a big whiff to smell the high quality aroma of the snow.

"It's exactly what he needs to get inspired for Christmas Eve. The men's Let It Snow Ugly Christmas Sweater captures that moment when Santa is finally ready to enjoy that sweet, imported snow.

"It's also warm and comfy, so you can wear it any time the snow starts blowing this holiday season."

Wowzer. But that's not the only item to raise eyebrows - others included one where Santa is weirdly lying face down with his bum out, with an alien looking like it's about to 'probe' him...

This poor model deserves better.

The description reads: "Well, let's just say if you're going to zip around the world using flying reindeer to deliver gifts to millions of homes in a single night, you probably should expect some inquisitive aliens to eventually wonder how you can do it."

Another showed him with his pants down again in front of a fire, with the words 'Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire' embroidered near him, and another showed him sitting on the toilet.

The sweaters were being sold for about $37 (£28) and are made by clothing company Fun Wear.

A Walmart spokesperson told LADbible: "These sweaters, sold by a third-party seller on Walmart.ca, do not represent Walmart's values and have no place on our website.

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

"We have removed these products from our marketplace. We apologise for any unintended offence this may have caused."

The items don't appear to be available on the site at the time of writing.
