Woman who married a Victorian-era ghost has divorced him by having an exorcism

She said he had become obsessed with Marilyn Monroe and decided to exorcise him where they got married.

A woman who married a ghost from the Victorian-era has revealed she's divorced him.

Brocarde sent shockwaves around the world when she announced her nuptials to Edwardo.

The 40-year-old said the 'devilishly handsome' soldier 'burst' into her bedroom on a stormy night and their fate was set.

They decided to get hitched after only five months of knowing each other and they had their wedding on Halloween last year.

However, things quickly went from bad to worse.

Brocarde says Edwardo got drunk on their honeymoon in Barry Island, Wales and then he started getting very possessive.

To make matters worse, the ghost also apparently developed an 'unsettling fascination' with Marilyn Monroe, something that his wife didn't take kindly to.

The 40-year-old said Edwardo would disappear for days and then come back smelling of Chanel No.5, which was Monroe's signature smell.

While she tried to put boundaries on her new husband, that only sent him into anger.

So Brocarde decided to return to the chapel where they 'exchanged vows' and performed an exorcism.

She said: "Our relationship had always been turbulent from the beginning, with the stark contrast of him being threatening and possessive and then warm and intense but I slowly began to tire of being married to a free spirit, he was inconsistent, barely present."

She added: "I came to the conclusion that the journey with Edwardo had no positive conclusion and is energy was dragging me down.

"There was no break up conversation. I consulted a physic medium to help me assert my boundaries over Edwardo and to try to tame him but it didn’t work, he grew increasingly more aggressive and nasty and began to haunt me with the sound of a screaming baby.

"I concluded that the only way to get rid of Edwardo was to exorcise him, so I embarked on the harrowing process in the chapel that we got married in.

"After hours he was finally purged from my system, I felt light and free and excited to be released of his troubled spirit.

"Since the exorcism I haven't felt his presence or seen him, the whole energy has shifted and life feels more light and joyful.

"I am quite adamant that I no longer want to be haunted by Edwardo so his presence isn’t welcome in my life."

She wrote a song called 'Just Another Anthem' about their relationship and she believes it's 'an in your face message to symbolise that I’ve moved on'.
